Creativity: Researching in Creativity from 1966; Standardized, Published verbal and nonverbal "Passi Tests of Creativity"; Highly reliable and valid (found low relationship between creativity and intelligence; and Creativity and achievement); the manual is comprehensive and user friendly; it is an original contribution in Creativity Testing; the tests have found international acceptance.

Originator of Microteaching in India; Conceptualized and researched in Microteaching. Collaborated all India and UK researches; implemented Microteaching in Teacher Education; Nick-named as Father of Microteaching in India; Developed films on Microteaching; published a reference book known as "Becoming Better Teacher". This innovation has brought many international invitations.

Models of Teaching: Initiated reforms in teacher education and school teaching; Directed research projects in Information processing, Social interaction, and Personal development models; disseminated Models of Teaching and Educational Technology in India and Abroad. 

Personalizing Teacher Education Curriculum- designed innovative project of teacher education at school and college levels.  It is popularly known as Zero-Lecture Program.

Surveys of Research in Education: Operationalzed the prestigious projects of Surveys Of Research In Education; First Survey of Research in Education Associate Editor; Second Survey of Research in Education Joint Editor; Third Survey of Research in Education Member Editorial Board; Fourth Survey of Research in Education Member Editorial Board Fifth Survey Trend Report Author.

Futures Studies: Conceptualized and introduced in India and Canada the academic Courses in Futures Studies at B.Ed. M.Ed. M.Phil. Ph.D. levels; Based upon our work, UGC developed programs of Futures Studies M.Phil  M.Tech.; Faculty Member for Futures Studies Courses in Canada.

Norms for Teacher Education Guided and formulated Norms for teacher education for nursery, elementary, and secondary levels and also in the area of physical education.

Distance and Open Education: Completed about forty projects in the area of open distance teacher education.
