Why YOU - Why me! - participants so far
Why you:
You all are Creative
people who confirmed their interested to join me on this voyage
and to spend their ideas, creativity, time and love to play with these kids
for one early afternoon on Saturday, May 3rd.
You are media and sponsors that showed their interest to support
this non-profit project.
You are loveable people living in Bangkok who believe in Action.
You believe that such a project in a very small frame can help, brick
by brick to build a better world. A world with a little bit more of
love, a little bit more of tolerance and a little bit more creativity.
Taking about such a project to Dr. Penguin (An Artist who lives since many years in Thailand and had worked with street kids 1000's of time), he told me following: We artists do our part, every year, perhaps it's time to find other people who can do something? Teach economics or math or language skills, or sports, or other things as well. It just seems that every year someone comes along with a bright new idea, Hey lets get the children artists to perform for free and do something good for the kids" It's just too easy for everyone to rely on us and walk away with the credit."
Therefore, most of you are people from normal kind of businesses and many of you have not yet worked with street kids.
Why me:
I had the great luck to be considered as the Thailand
chapter representative of CID!
This I could not make together and I am so very proud to have a very competent Professor at my side; my very dear friend and Creativity Expert Dr BK Passi. Dr Passi is working right now at King Mongkut University and for UNESCO as well as being a ThinkTank of Prasena. One of his most recent projects was in India on 'Creativity and Peace'
I myself, together with two colleagues (Isabelle Michelet& Philippe Kopcsan) have my own Global Consulting Company: Prasena, where we consider Creativity as being on of the drivers of today's new economy
For CID 2003 I wanted
to run three very different kind of Creativity projects
one being
a EDUCATIONAL public workshop at ABAC with Dr Alan Black breaking
the Crayons
one being a more ACADEMIC virtual session with other CID members from
3 different continents where we will talk about 'Creativity and Peace'
..and then the THIRD event - The event
that YOU ARE INVOLVED IN! A day at the park with Creative people and underprivileged
kids from Bangkok.
FUND FOR FRIENDS
At this point I want to mention Richard Wilson representing the Creative Circle Network in Bangkok who supported me a lot and could give me very good tips. He and his network of Creative people have been involved with many Creativity projects many times and have great experience. Some of the participants to this project are as well regular members of the Creative Circle Network.
